Below are items I brought to the Art In Clay show on Nov 11-12, 2023.

This is the only show I will be in this year.

(Because of space limitations, not all pieces are/were on display at the same time.)

Every time I make a piece of pottery, I’m trying to make a piece of art.

Something distinctive, with character and beauty:

I love textures, both visual and tactile.

Creating a beautiful textured surface, or an appealing marbled “neriage” form makes me happy.

I try to make my glazing visually textured as well, rather than just use simple one glaze dips.

Almost every pot I make is an experiment, either in the clay or in the glaze.

While I often try variations on a theme, I generally don’t make multiples of the same thing, no matter how nice.

I try to make my shapes as visually elegant as I can.

I take a lot of care to make my food bowls look light, and to feel comfortable in your hand.
