I created this site to share some of my work with friends and family who may have pieces of art that I’ve made. It is not currently set up for sales, it’s just a portfolio.

I've always loved making art in my spare time. I love how the process can take me to a calm and centered place.

Until recently I mainly did sculptural work in stone, wood and metal, created a handful of drawings, and did some woodworking.

In 2018 I started working with clay and quickly found that I really enjoy working on the wheel.

I most admire, and have tried to learn from, the style of Japanese potters like Matsui Kosei, who focus on multi-colored clays and textured surfaces while at the same time striving for technical excellence in their work.

I find that the kiln often has its own ideas about how a piece should turn out. While that may be very different from what I originally envisioned, I think there’s a lesson in doing your best and then accepting that some things are outside of your control.
